Coaching is a great way to be involved in the team!
All coaches must be 16 years of age, and will need to submit a vulnerable sector/criminal record check and complete certification courses before May 15, 2026.
See the following steps for more detail about becoming a coach with Foothills Lacrosse Association.
New and returning coaches must submit the FLA Coaching Application Form. Once the application is received, it will be reviewed and coaches will be added to teams.

Once you have been added to a team, you must register in Ramp Registration as a Coach. This registration must be completed before you will be able to attend any floor sessions.
Print the Foothills Lacrosse Association Volunteer Letter to take to the local RCMP detachment, to request your Vulnerable Sector and/or Criminal Record Check.
This can sometimes take longer than expected, so it is best not to leave it to the last minute. Once you have received your vulnerable sector/criminal record check, email it to coach@foothillslacrosse.com
Vulnerable Sector / Criminal Record Checks are valid for three years, so if you have submitted one previously you may not need to re-submit this year. Check with coach@foothillslacrosse.com to confirm if it is on file with FLA.
The coaching certification courses you require depend on the team you will be coaching and if this is your first year coaching.
